Advertisement For Bids 2021 Water System Improvements Mingo Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation City Of Bixby Bixby, Oklahoma Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Bixby, Bixby, Oklahoma, at the office of the City of Bixby City Clerk at the City Hall located at 116 W. Needles in Bixby, Oklahoma 74008 until 2:30 p.m. on September 2, 2021 for the 2021 Water System Improvements – Mingo Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation, in Bixby, Oklahoma at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the scheduled time for closing will be returned unopened. The work includes: Surface preparation and exterior coating of the 1.0 MG Mingo Water Storage Tank, and existing steel ground supported storage tank. Work also includes minor tank rehabilitation including new access ladder with fall protection, access hatch handrail and other appurtenances. The Contract Document also include an Alternate Bid for demolition and removal of the Mingo Water Storage Tank. Payment Options: Online Download $40.00 or ½ size Paper Set $80.00, none of which are refundable. All checks shall be made payable to Holloway, Updike & Bellen, Inc. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, or Cashier's Check upon any solvent Bank or Trust Company, payable without reserve to the City of Bixby, Oklahoma, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid security of the two low bidders will be retained until approval of contract and execution of satisfactory bonds by the successful bidder, or until other disposition on the bids is made. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. on August 26, 2021 in the council chambers of the Bixby City offices. The following bonds will be required from the Contractor: Performance Bond, Statutory Public Works Bond (payment of all labor and materials used in the construction of such improvements), and Two-Year Maintenance Bond. All bonds shall be in the full amount of the contract price. The bidder must supply all the information required by the bid and proposal form including completion of affidavits or the bid will be considered incomplete and therefore rejected. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least Sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The attention of all bidders is called to the fact that they must meet the requirements and bid in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma and the City of Bixby ordinances governing public works contracts.
