Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for Jeppesen MilPlanner Services. Using Jeppesen's proprietary flight planning software (MilPlanner^TM), mission planners and aircrews can simultaneously flight plan multiple itineraries in any region of the world, display the route on digital charts, and overlay the latest visual weather data to determine optimum routing. Jeppesen's Global Support and Control center provides the capability to compute flight plans for aircrews send those flight plans to the aircrew and coordinate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) throughout the world on a moments notice. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Jeppesen Sanderson is the sole provider of the equipment and service and is currently the only known authorized company to provide their products.
