The Forest Service is in need of tree planting services for reforestation of the Million Fire Salvage. The contract includes tree planting as well as the installation of artificial shade devices for trees planted in specified areas. The purpose of this contract is to secure tree planting services in a manner that insures tree survival and growth. The contract includes tree handling and planting, shading, installation of artificial shade devices to provide the seedlings with the greatest chance of survival. A total of 36,000 seedlings are expected to be delivered, and planted within the units.
