Sealed bids will be received by the Jenkins County, Georgia, at the office of the Jenkins County Administrator, 833 East Winthrope Avenue, Millen, Georgia 30442 on October 28, 2022 until 11:00 A.M., Local Time and at that hour opened and publicly read aloud for the improvements to the Airport as listed herein. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for: Partial Parallel Taxiway Extension, T-hangar Taxiways, & Concrete Slab for 4 hangar Building The location of the work is at the Millen Airport, Jenkins County, Georgia. A Bidder's bond must be executed on the form furnished by the Owner, and the required bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check must accompany each bid, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond will be required of the Contractor at time of contract execution. A Georgia Resident Agent must countersign all bonds from a surety company authorized by law to do business in this State pursuant to a current certificate of authority to transact surety business by the Commissioner of Insurance; no bond shall be approved unless the surety is on the United States Department of Treasury’s list of approved bond sureties. Copies of the plans, specifications and bid forms are on file at the office of the Jenkins County Administrator, 833 East Winthrope Avenue, Millen, Georgia 30442; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; and the Engineer’s, CROY ENGINEERING, LLC, 200 North Cobb Parkway, Building 400, Suite 413, Marietta, GA 30062. All work under the contract shall be completed within ONE HUNDRED (100) CALENDAR DAYS from the Notice to Proceed. THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS AND TO WAIVE INFORMALITIES IS RESERVED TO THE OWNER, JENKINS COUNTY, GEORGIA. Payment will be made monthly on completed work.
