This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Midstory Removal by felling trees with chainsaws and other cutting devices on the Redbird Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Leslie County, Kentucky. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment (except that specified under Government Furnished Property), transportation, and supervision to perform all work required to complete midstory removal by felling trees with chainsaws or other cutting devices in accordance with the terms, provisions and specifications of the contract.

This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

The Forest Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, therefore the evaluation procedures at FAR 13.106-2 will be used.
