The Daniel Boone National Forest has a requirement for midstory removal services for the Redbird Ranger District in Big Creek, KY.  The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment (excluding that specified under Government Furnished Property), transportation and supervision to perform all work required to complete the specifications of this contract.

This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for commercial items as supplemented with addiional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

The Forest Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation.  Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, therefore the evaluation procedures at FAR 13.106-2 will be used.  A firm-fixed price award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the proposal that provides the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.

This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns.  All responsible small businesses may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Forest Service (FS).
