This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.

Background: We are seeking a base plus four year option firm fixed-priced delivery order for a middleware package that will be able to interface to the RPMS and all of its various applications, most importantly with the laboratory packages. The middleware must be capable of using HL7 protocol and capable of supporting both serial and TCP/IP protocols. RPMS information can be exchanged over a local area network (LAN) within a single facility, a wide area network (WAN) with other facilities, and the Internet with other providers and medical researchers.
