The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) has a need for a set of two micromanipulators to be used to allow researchers the ability to perform micro-control of the head-stages for patch-clamp electrophysiological recording of individual neurons. The neurological devices lab performs electrophysiological and imaging monitoring of brain electrical activities with glass and/or metal electrodes, as well as microscopy time series to identify brain responses to external insults, including electrical stimulation, microwave exposure or ultrasound exposure in order to evaluate the safety of the relevant neural applications for neurological conditions.
