This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a not a total small business set-aside. This solicitation number is RFQ1715978 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has a requirement for microarrays for Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) and Copy Number Variation (CNV) Analysis. The requirement is for a 16 sample (Quantity–1), 48 sample (Quantity-1) and 96 sample (Quantity-3) BeadChip Kits. The BeadChip must support rapid, cost-effective studies with unprecedented coverage of the latest rare SNP content from the 1000 Genomes Project. The BeadChip must have the following features: (a) Number of Markers - ~2.5 million (b) Number of Samples – 4 (c) DNA Requirement – 200 ng (d) Assay – Infinium HD (e) Instrument Support – HiScanSQ or iScan (f) Sample Throughput - ~480 samples/week (g) Scan Time/Sample - ~15 minutes Offerors will be evaluated on their ability to meet technical specifications.
