The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to make a sole source award to Roche Diagnostics, Indianapolis, IN for microarray hybridization service using a custom bovine microarray (USDA Bovine 60mer 385-k Array). The complete analysis that Roche Diagnostics (Roche-NimbleGen) can provide includes determination of RNA quality and quantity, cDNA synthesis and labeling, hybridization to the custom bovine microarray, image acquisition, and data analysis. The array platform used for hybridization consists of a bovine-specific high-density oligonucleotide DNA microarray previously designed and acquired from Roche Diagnostics (formerly NimbleGen) based on unique bovine mRNA sequence requirements and generated using Maskless Array Synthesizer Technology. As this is a custom (proprietary) microarray designed by Roche-NimbleGen, only they have the capability to generate hybridization data from it due to its unique characteristics.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
This award will be for a base with 2 option years.
