The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source modification to N00019-11-C-0020 with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, New York. The anticipated modification will be to add an additional 15 MH-60R Pointing Devices and 30 Embedded GPS Inertial (EGI) units `to the provisioned items list. This action is being awarded on a sole-source basis to LM MS2 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements," because LM MS2 is the sole manufacturer of the MH-60R common cockpit and the only company with the necessary data and technical capability to perform this effort for the MH-60 aircraft in a cost effective and timely manner.
