The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO) has a requirement to procure parts for the MH-47G Plus 8 and Reconstitution aircraft for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR(A)). The MH-47G is the United States Special Operations Aviation vertical heavy assault aircraft and is a critical enabler in the delivery of Special Operations Forces engaged in Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).

USSOCOM intends to issue Firm Fixed Price awards on a variety of contract vehicles in support of the MH-47G Plus 8 program, to include Purchase Orders, Definite "C" contracts, and Indefinite delivery/Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts to the following sixteen (16) sole source contractors in accordance with FAR 6.303-2(a)(4):

It has been determined that the sixteen (16) contractors above are the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) of the parts which are currently installed on the 160th SOAR(a) MH-47G aircraft. The Government does not possess the required level of engineering data and/or processes to permit full and open competition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 336413 and the business size is 1,000 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with each of the applicable contractors under the authority of FAR 6.303-2(a)(5). This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal. However, the Government will consider all applicable responses received from this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete any of the intended acquisitions is solely at the discretion of the Government.
