The team will perform a wide variety of technical duties related to the Construction management, construction inspection and building commissioning services of facilities construction projects for the Department of Transportation. Work requires the understanding of contract requirements, drawings and specifications for either single or multi-discipline construction projects. The team must also have a working knowledge of the current and past building codes (such as the Uniform Construction Code) and all Federal, State and Local Laws. This agreement may provide management, inspection and building commissioning services for various types of projects at any of PennDOT’ s 4,100 Facilities located state wide. As an example the inspection services could cover the follow types of work: new construction of Salt Storage Buildings, General Storage Buildings, Personnel Buildings, Truck Washes, Renovations, Repairs, HVAC, Roofing, Electrical, Plumbing, Fencing, and Fire Alarm Systems. These types of projects are located at PennDOT District Offices, County Maintenance offices, Stockpiles, Welcome Centers, Roadside Safety Rest Areas, Driver Licensing centers and other similar use buildings. Please see the attached information for the types of management and inspection personnel that may be needed. A listing of the estimated number of each type of inspector needed will be included in the advertisement. The agreement will last for a period of up to 3 years however it is expected that approx. 30 - 40 inspection personnel will be needed for the agreement. Some could be working on more than one project simultaneously. An estimate of the number of personnel per classification will be provided in the advertisement. This agreement will be for $2,000,000.00 and will be non-federally funded.
