This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5. The Air Armament Center, Operational Contracting Division is seeking to identify sources that can provide Sensus Flexnet AMI Systems Meter reprogramming services for Eglin AFB based on the requirements below. This sources sought is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.


The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515, with small business standard size of 500 employees. Responses to this notice must be received within 5 days from date of notice publication. The Government will not award a contract solely on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice, nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. A requirement exists for reprogramming meters connected to an existing Sensus Flexnet AMI System with the following specifications:

The Contractor shall supply required labor and equipment to reprogram approximately 100 existing electric, gas and water meters currently installed. Eglin AFB uses the Sensus Flexnet AMI system and is in need of frequency reprogramming. The new frequencies to be programmed into the meters and TGBs are to be centered at given frequencies provided at a later date. If any additional material is needed such as meters, modems, TGBs, etc, it will be supplied either by the Government if possible or by the Contractor at an agreed upon price.
