Summary of Work:

The Contractor shall be a post-secondary academic institution accredited by an appropriate regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and shall be authorized under applicable law, or other acceptable authority, to confer the AS degree in Respiratory Therapy. The AS degree in Respiratory Therapy and all semester hours shall be based on a combination of the prerequisites that may include college work obtained through College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and/or Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), and curriculum taught by the assigned military personnel and Defense Health Agency civilians in the named courses at the USAF Respiratory Therapy Program at METC, JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, TX. The course consists of two phases: Phase I - Respiratory Therapy Curriculum (70 training days) and Phase II - Respiratory Therapy Clinical Training (163 training days).
