This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

Synopsis/Solicitation N0017817Q0104 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis to MAGER SCIENTIFIC, INC., for ATM Advance Materialography (ATM) metallographic sectioning saw and associated hardware. ATM Advanced Materialography (ATM) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Brillant 250.2 Abrasive Cutter, and Mager Scientific Inc. is the OEM's only know provider of the Brillant 250.2 United States. In order to maintain connectivity and uniformity, the components must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit and function).
Please include shipping/freight cost to Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114 if applicable. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
