The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NWSC IHEODTD) intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Meggitt Sensing Systems, Irvine CA.  This procurement consist Micro-Electromechanical System (MEMS) retard sensors.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements received no later than the due date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement that will be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

All responses must be received by email at [email protected] no later than 3:00PM EST, 17 September 2014. A formal solicitation will NOT be issued since this will be sole source procurement. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this procurement.

All contractors and individuals doing business with the Federal Government MUST be registered at the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements can be located via the Internet at www.sam.gov.

Responses that are non-compliant with any of these instructions may be rejected without further consideration for award. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that responded to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
