The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to Medtronic Inc for the urgent purpose of obtaining Medtronic Neurovascular supplies for an emergency scheduled surgery.  The physician requesting the supplies has verified the need for Medtronic's neurovascular supplies to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.  The authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
