The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) / National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), Bacterial Disease Branch (BDB) in Fort Collins, CO, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price Purchase Order to INTEGRA Biosciences Corp of Hudson, NH, for a MEDIAJET Plate Pourer, a MEDIACLACE 10 Automatic Media Preparator, and supplies for this equipment. This specific equipment is required to obtain research consistency and continuity. The BDB in Fort Collins must purchase the same instruments that the CDC research teams working at the Specialized Media & Reagents Team Scientific Products & Support Branch at CDC in Atlanta are using. The BDB will need to program the instrument to the same specifications as used in the Specialized Media Branch to prepare specialized media for the array of unique bacteria being tested at the CDC Bacterial Disease Branch in Fort Collins.

This Procurement is for a Commercial Item as defined by FAR Parts 2 & 12.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within 15 business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
