This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-0281-S-08-0056 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 423820, Farm and Garden Machinery and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers. A quotation is requested for the following ITEM 01: 1) High speed production and uniform filling media filler unit. The unit will have single phase 220v, 20 amp power capable of filling up to 1300 containers per hour. The unit will have 6 inch casters for easy movement into filling production lines. There will be a vibrating conveyor option with variable soil delivery and filling conveyor. The unit will have a 1.5 ho vac variable speed soil chain. The unit will have a direct drive gearbox with sealed bearings. The filling hopper can hold up to 4 cubic yards of media (but no larger). Include Shipping and Handling in quote. Contractor is also required to submit pictures and/or descriptive literature of items listed above. Required delivery to be made to the Coeur d’Alene Nursery, located at 3600 Nursery Way, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time), excluding official Federal Government Holidays. Contractor shall have entire order ready for shipment and possession by the Government by September 31, 2008.
