The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Code 83 intends to procure the services of a company that can media blast, prep, treat and paint the bottom of a vessel that belongs to CCD, V-47 located at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk Va. in order to ensure that the vessel will perform as intended. The objective of this service is to reduce the rate of marine growth on the bottom of the vessel. NSWCCD will deliver the vessel to the selected vendor if the facility is within 50 miles of Norfolk, VA, accessible by water and has the ability to lift the boat out of the water.

The vendor will perform all work necessary to ensure that the Vessel #65PB1101 is prepped, cleaned, media blasted, treated, and painted with antifoulant paint in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32:

1) Abrasive blast with garnet or aluminum oxide and install a 2.0-4.0 mil profile.
2) IAW NAVSEA Standard Items 009-32, Table 1, Lines 11 or 12, apply a NAVSEA approved bottom paint system, for example:
1st Primer Sherwin-Williams Seaguard 5000HS (or equal) (color: Buff) 4-6 mils DFT
2nd Primer Sherwin-Williams Seaguard 5000HS (or equal) (color: Gray) 4-6 mils DFT
1st Topcoat Sherwin-Williams Seavoyage Copper Free (or equal) (color: Black) 4-6 mils DFT
2ndTopcoat Sherwin-Williams Seavoyage Copper Free (or equal) (color: Red) 4-6 mils DFT
3rd Topcoat Sherwin-Williams Seavoyage Copper Free (or equal) (color: Black) 4-6 mils DFT

Upon completion of the service the vendor will give the Government full access and visibility into this service to ensure that the work was completed correctly.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Completion of the requirement is expected within 2 weeks of the start of the contract.
