THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time.
Military Sealift Fleet Support Command is seeking eligible businesses that can provide services to support the MCS-2000 Intercom System (44MC) on board USNS ZEUS (T-ARC 7) to trouble shoot and provide a typed written report listing the results of a thorough inspection for each piece of existing equipment. We believe Thales Defense and Security Systems GMBH is the OEM for these parts onboard, and maintains proprietary rights for the design data, material specifications and historical operating parameters relating to the service and manufacture of the ship's intercom system.
Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about 11 January 2012. After issuance, solicitation may be obtained thru Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) website.
Any firms that believe they can meet these requirements should respond to this notice as described below. Indicate if
your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further
classifications (Hubzone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.). The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The appropriate NAICS Code is 334290.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
Please provide a response demonstrating your firm's experience in performing similar work.
RESPONSES ARE DUE on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 by 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
