The Library of Congress (Library) owns and operates motion picture film viewing flatbeds and motion picture power winders in the Madison Building in Washington, D.C., and the Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation in Culpeper, VA. The Library requires contractor support for regular maintenance and repair of these machines in order to provide researchers, staff and members of Congress access to archival film collections without damaging them. The contractor shall provide repair and preventive maintenance to 16mm and 35mm motion picture film viewing flatbeds and power rewinders owned by the Library. The Library has 42 flatbed and rewind machines in total which fall under this contract, but the number of machines to be serviced will vary each visit and will be specified each year.
