The Mayor s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) on behalf of the Metro Boston Homeland Security Region (MBHSR) is requesting proposals to contract with a qualified technical vendor to engineer, upgrade, maintain, repair, manage and monitor a gunshot detection and location system for communities within the Region. In addition, the contractor may provide equipment and software acquisition services on behalf of OEM for the gunshot detection and location system. The MBHSR Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources Subcommittee (CIKR) has identified a critical need to continue the detection and reporting of gunshots taking place within the MBHSR member jurisdictions in order to better ensure the safety of the public.
