Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)&(B), the Department of Commerce (DOC)/Enterprise Services intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Essence Communications. This procurement is for conference management services to facilitate participation in three distinct events that will target the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Enterprising Women of Color audiences.
The Government intends to secure an execution booth, offsite luncheon services, programming and content development, talent acquisition, marketing and collateral support with a targeted audience of 100 to 300 attendees at the Contractor recommended locations. The Contractor shall also have knowledge and experience in the field of minority business development and share MBDA’s mission. MBDA prefers Essence Communications which provides the Women of Color Initiative with a platform that can reach and activate expertise to help develop and implement a marketing program, messaging, and an awareness campaign that will effectively educate and inform the public about MBDA’s Women of Color Initiative.
The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)2(i). This will be a commercial acquisition per FAR 13.5. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available or will be issued. All responsible sources who have the technical expertise to perform the requirements sough may submit a capability statement to the Contract Specialist by 1:00 PM EST, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at [email protected]. Submissions submitted will be considered by the government for feasibility of conducting a competitive procurement.
