The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to procure on a sole-source basis MAX participation and Internet2 connection services from the University of Maryland (UMD), Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX). The anticipated period of performance is one base year and one option year. UMD/MAX is the only source for the required services. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 and FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
