The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into limited competition between the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO, and the only known distributor NDT Solutions, New Richmond, WI for a retrofit of the Mobile Automated Ultrasonic Scanners (MAUS) with new PC boards and software. The MAUS system is used on F/A-18 aircraft for high flight hour inspections, damage assessment, aging structure evaluation, and repair evaluation.

 The Government does not have the detailed data available for this effort.  NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C ) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1.  No solicitation package is available for this procurement.  All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
