The U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in New London, CT intents to award sole source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for quotes; a solicitation package will not be issued. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy intends to award a contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Association to Wolfram Research for annual Wolfram Mathematica license subscription at the Coast Guard Academy for its academic2016-2017 school year. Mathematica software is used by the entire cadet corps and the mathematics department. This software is proprietarily sold and not available through resellers. FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
