This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13 to acquire Mastercam products for Weapons Training Battalion, Quantico Marine Corps located in Quantico, Virginia.  The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source.  Inder the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.  The Contractor is the only authorized Mastercam reseller in Virginia.  CNC Software who is the developer of Mastercam does not distribute the software directly.  DURATION:  This requirement will be for a base year and two option year maintenance agreement.  The notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation.  No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored.  No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.  A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
