The Minnesota Department of Commerce is seeking to purchase one (1) Mettler Toledo XK2003KLC Mass Comparator Balance and one (1) LM5000 Levelmatic Pan. It is the State’s intention to contract with Mettler Toledo of Columbus, OH for the Mass Comparator and Levelmatic Pan. Department of Commerce Large Mass Laboratory needs to replace their current ageing Mass Comparator used for large mass internal standards and field weights. The specifications required are that the Mass Comparator and Levelmatic Pan have: • Maximum Capacity of 2500 kg • Readability 1 g • Repeatability, abs (2000 kg load): 9 g • Repeatability, abs (100 kg load): 5 g • Repeatability, 5x ABA (2000 kg load): 7 g • Repeatability, 5x ABA (100 kg load): 3 g • Linearity: 100 g • Sensitivity Offset (2000 kg load): 6 g • Settling Time: 8-12 seconds Department of Commerce Large Mass Laboratory calibrates for a large customer base as they calibrate for any company/entity required to have an accredited calibration in the Upper Mid-West. The Mass Comparator and Levelmatic Pan has been deemed a single source as Mettler Toledo is the only vendor that provide Mass Comparator and Levelmatic Pan that meet the specifications.
