The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) is requesting proposals from highly qualified consultants/organizations to provide Marsh Bird Surveys at IID Managed Marsh and Other Designated Areas in accordance with this complete solicitation package. The selected respondent will provide biological/ecological consulting services to conduct habitat evaluations and field vocalization surveys for marsh birds at the IID Managed Marsh complex (south of Niland, CA) and at up to three additional reference or control sites within 40 miles of the managed marsh complex The selected respondent will use the marsh bird survey protocol outlined in Wildlife Research Report #2009-02 - Standardized North American Marsh Bird Monitoring Protocols, (Courtney Conway, Arizona Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, 2009), hereafter referenced as marsh bird protocol. The surveys are required to document the success of the implementation of aquatic habitat as part of IID's mitigation measures for the Quantification Settlement Agreement Water Transfer Project (QSA) and associated permits and authorizations.
