The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), intends to acquire Services to support the AN/APX 123/A Common Transponder (CXP).

Requirements Description/Services to be Procured:

This is a Market Survey to locate sources and potential vendors with the capability to inspect, test, and repair the AN/APX 123/A Common Transponder (CXP) including its Line Replacement Units and their respective Circuit Card Assemblies for the below part numbers:

The AN/APX 123/A Common Transponder (CXP) provides unencrypted and encrypted information used for target identification. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this unit is not available from the Army.

Requested Response Information:

Vendor capable of supplying the above must so indicate, by writing to: Commander, US Army C-E LCMC, ATTN: FCDD-ISP-AB, 6560 Surveillance Road, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846 and emailing response to point of contact described below. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the above source demonstrating that the supplier can supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. Also, the contractor shall cite the quality standard either Government or Industry that shall be in place for this effort. The enclosed Questionnaire shall be addressed and provided as part of the vendor’s response.

Responses can apply to any or all of the items. Additionally, you may provide additional information to support your technical capabilities of repairing the AN/APX 123/A Common Transponder (CXP) including its Line Replacement Units and their respective Circuit Card Assemblies components with similar complexity and functionality. If you are interested in assisting us with market research information for these items, please answer the below market survey questionnaire.  We also appreciate any additional comments that will help us identifying potential manufactures or suppliers.

This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business.  Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
