MARKET SURVEY The intent of the FAA is to survey the market for interested and capable Small Businesses including Certified SBA 8(a) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS Code for this project is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a Project for the Installation of a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) at Lihue Airport (LIH) in Lihue, Hawaii as indicated on the attached specifications and construction drawings. Work includes: Installation of the PAPI Power & Control Station and LHA’s (Light Housing Assembly’s), Installation of the rotomilled maintenance areas, and providing the power service from the existing 35 Localizer building area to the PAPI. After the new runway 21 PAPI is installed and made operational, the old runway 21 VASI equipment shall be completely removed and disposed of by the construction contractor. This is expected to be done several weeks or more after the new 21 PAPI work is complete. Work includes the removal of the upwind and downwind VASI boxes, and the VASI power and control station, including their foundations, and underground conduit and cabling (conduit and cable within 10 ft of the structures) associated with these. The site shall be restored to match the surrounding grade, compaction, and condition. All work to be done according to Specifications and Drawings attached as Volume II.
