This market survey is to inform industry of the intent to procure lightning and surge protection devices from a manufacturer or distributor of such products. Installation services are not required. The response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request, or a request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This announcement is not intended to guarantee procurement of a product, and is not seen as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract.
The FAA will not pay for any information received, or cost incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendorââ¬â¢s expense.
The estimated value of this acquisition is between $200,000 and $500,000 per year for an estimated 5 years. At this time the nature of the acquisition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition, or set aside all or part of the procurement for small business, service-disabled veteranââ¬âowned small businesses, or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBAââ¬â¢S 8(a) Program.
The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing lightning and surge protection devices.
Interested firms are required to submit a capability statement, the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable.
The lightning and surge protection devices will be flange mounted, dc block, single transmitter coaxial lightning protection for 1.5 MHz to 700 MHz with N female surge side and N female protected side connectors.
The minimum specifications for this requirement are:

Any firm that believes they have the ability to provide lightning and surge protection devices that meet the minimum specifications is requested to submit a statement of their firmââ¬â¢s capability, qualifications and experience. The FAA will review that information to identify qualified firms.
