PW17-21 is intended as a Design Build Project. The successful Proponent will be tasked with performing all the preliminary design functions necessary to prepare the bridging documents and the future RFP that will be used to advertise for the Design Build Team (DBT). The DBT will ultimately complete the design and construction of the project while the successful Proponent will act as an agent for the City until project completion. The Proponent will also assist the City in establishing/developing its policies, procedures, and other necessary documents for all phases of the Design-Build process for PW17-21. As an agent for the City, and participant in the development of the bridging documents, the successful Proponent, including sub-consultants, are excluded from participating in the future Design Build construction contract on PW17-21.
