The 802d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to KATADYN NORTH AMERICA INC, 6235 Sandburg Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55427, for the purchase of Non-Personal Services for the testing, inspection, and service (to include parts) for Manual Reserve Osmosis Desalinators (MRODs) Units, Model 35 LA1. Katadyn is the proprietary vendor and sole distributor of this service, which is used by the 433 OSS/OSL. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested persons may indentify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
