The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island plans to procure Manned / Un-Manned Teaming (MUMT) System, related subcomponents, and ancillary services in support of the Apache Attack Helicopter (AAH). The Government plans to procure this requirement sole source from L-3 Communications Corporation - Communication Systems West (L-3), 640 N 2200 W, Salt Lake City, UT, 84116-2925, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 06401, in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. As the original equipment manufacturer of the MUMT system, L-3 maintains the exclusive engineering knowledge, design, and test history associated with the AAH AH-64 hardware and software design. L-3 possesses the technical expertise, data, and experience necessary to execute this requirement.

The Government plans to utilize a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type Contract with five one-year ordering periods. This procurement is for the production of components for the MUMT system, and depot maintenance/repair services.
