The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Contracting Division, Net-Centric Services Branch, Hardware/Software Section (DITCO/PL8322), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to Mandiant Corporation, for the purchase of Mandiant Intelligent Appliance, software, software support and training. Sole source is required is due to Mandiant Corporation being the company that owns and develops the proprietary Mandiant Intelligent Response (MIR) appliance. Mandiant Corporation is the only vendor that can provide the appliance, software, training, and maintenance, and they do not allow their authorized resellers to do this.
Contract award cannot be made to any contractor not enrolled in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program. The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov.
