The project consists of excavating material out of the Manatee Harbor DMMA located in Manatee County, Florida. The material will be transported via truck haul approximately 6.5 miles south to the Washington Park Placement Site. Project work consists of the construction of a haul road using the material excavated form the DMMA in Washington Park and will have a finished crest elevation of 18 feet above existing grade. Material from the DMMA will also be placed at the southern end of the haul road. The placed material will be surrounded by a perimeter silt fence. Project work also includes clearing and grubbing, seeding, installation of drainage structures and slope protection features, and environmental monitoring.  The Excavation site is located at the Manatee Harbor Dredge Material Management Area (DMMA). Washington Park Placement Site is located east of a railroad, south of 39th St. E., west of 8th Ave. E. and north of 30th St. E. situated in Palmetto, Florida. The Contract Performance Period is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice To Proceed (NTP).

PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 22 July 2020 and bids will be due on or about 21 August 2020.

NAICS Code 237990, size standard $39.5 million.

Magnitude of construction is between $3,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
