The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Indian Head, MD 20640, intends to award a sole-source contract for the procurement of maintenance support services and consumables for the FirstDefender RMX, TruDefender FT, TruDefender FTX, and Gemini systems. The proposed contract will only be negotiated with Thermo Scientific, 46 Jospin Road, Wilmington, MA 01887,  under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Thermo Scientific is the only known manufacturer that provides maintance support for the First Defender RMX, TruDefender FT, TruDefender FTX, and Gemini systems. It is anticipated that the award will be a firm-fixed price and cost reimbursement type contract.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
