A full-service maintenance contract for the Omnilog Biolog system to conduct phenotypic microarray experiments is needed to keep the instrument functioning properly so that accurate and reproducible readings can be obtained. Biolog, Inc is the sole source vendor for this instrument because the only software and subsequent upgrades that run the instrument are available and patented by Biolog, Inc. Biolog, Inc has no authorized dealers to service their instruments and there are no substitutes available.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency.
