The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to do a six (6) month extension for the current Maintenance for Siemens HiPath system contract currently in place. This extension is to allow time for a new contract to be put in place and to prevent a lapse in service.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii) (b), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. The closing date for this synopsis is 27 August 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated start date for the extension is 25 September 2014.
