The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Foster and Freeman USA, Inc, 46030 Manekin Plaza, Suite 170, Sterling, VA 20166 to provide maintenance on Foster and Freeman VSC6000/HS and ESDA systems for a base year plus four (4) option year periods. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 - Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. The determination of the Government not to open this requirement to full and open competition was made in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and is solely at the discretion of the Government. Entities may identify their interest and ability to meet this requirement via a written capability statement only. All capability statements must be emailed no later than 7 calendar days after publication of this synopsis - no later than April 15, 2014, 8:00 am EST. Any information received will be maintained for future Market Research requirements. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government anticipates an award date on or about April 15, 2014. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation in response to this announcement.
