Three Cisco SMARTnet contracts are to be modified for the period of February 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010. Each contact number reflects a different level of Cisco SMARTNet service coverage.

All the equipment to be serviced is manufactured and produced by Cisco, Inc. The Cisco equipment is critical to the daily operations of the Radiology and Imaging Sciences patient care computer network. This request is a modification to the current Radiology and Imaging Sciences SMARTnet contracts. The equipment to be covered has recently completed its warranty period and needs to be added to the existing contacts. This request will extend coverage until 9/30/2010 at which time the maintenance will be combined with other NIH Clinical Center SMARTnet service contracts.
Under a CISCO SMARTnet service agreement Cisco agrees to provide:
* Around-the-clock, global access to the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
* Access to the extensive Cisco.com knowledgebase and tools
* Hardware replacement options include 2-hour, 4-hour, Next-business-day (NBD) advance replacement, as well as Return for Repair (RFR)
* Ongoing operating system software updates including both minor and major releases within the licensed feature set
* Cisco OS software support to extend the life of Cisco devices with improved security, increased performance, bandwidth management, new protocol support, and greater interoperability

The current contract is to be extended until 9/30/2010 at which time the maintenance will be combined with other NIH Clinical Center SMARTnet service contracts. This renewal will align the contract start dates with the other NIH CC SMARTnet contracts. The renewal has been modified to reflect changes in the equipment to be covered under contract during this interim period.
