The USDA National Animal Disease Center in Ames, IA, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price purchase award for a 12-month service maintenance agreement, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(2)(b)(i) with Beckman Coulter, Inc, Brea, CA for maintenance on the Beckman Coulter brand laboratory equipment listed below. This service maintenance agreement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The sole source determination is based on Beckman Coulter being the sole source for factory trained labor and maintenance services for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by Beckman Coulter. NAICS code for this procurement is 811310. The period of performance for the service maintenance agreement commences on October 16, 2016 and concludes October 15, 2017.
