The Cherry Point Satellite Contract Officer, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Perkinelmer Health Sciences, Inc., 910 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484-4750, (Cage Code: 1MCW2). Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required service. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure a one year maintenance contract with the option for four addition years on Perkinelmer equipment (spectrometer model Optima 3300 DV and Optima 3300 DV Peristalic pump). Perkinelmer is the manufacturer of this equipment and is the only company authorized to do maintenance on the above equipment. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
