The Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command -Norfolk intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Wartsila Defense Inc., 3617 Koppens Way, Chesapeake, VA. in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304©(1) as implemented at FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, to provide field service and shop repair support and parts for WARTSILA WLD 1400SR Water Jet Propulsion System, including, but not limited to Jetavator, impeller shaft and sealing unit, thrust bearing, hydraulic steering system, hydraulic reversing system, lubrication system, monitoring and control systems, and safety devices on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Class Ships.
The actual work shall be performed onboard vessels and at authorized Wartsila Defense Inc. facilities in the region specified in the call. The government anticipates award of a BPA.
