Requirement being worked with a new solicitation number, N32205-14-R-2204, for the procurement of maintenance and support to the Wartsila WLD 14000SR Water Jet Propulsion System in support of the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) class.

Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command, Ship Repair & Fleet Support Division, Norfolk intends to award a sole-source indefinite delivery-requirements type contract to Wartsila Defense Inc., 3617 Koppens Way, Chesapeake, VA. in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304©(1) as implemented at FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, to provide field service and shop repair support and parts for WARTSILA WLD 1400SR Water Jet Propulsion System, including, but not limited to Jetavator, impeller shaft and sealing unit, thrust bearing, hydraulic steering system, hydraulic reversing system, lubrication system, monitoring and control systems, and safety devices on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Class Ships.
The actual work shall be performed onboard vessels and at authorized Wartsila Defense Inc. facilities in the region specified in the delivery order. The government anticipates award of a single contract for a base period of one year, with four (4) one year option periods. The RFQ shall not be set-aside for small business concerns.
