The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to JDS Uniphase Corp., on other than full and open competitive basis for 1 each MAP-280; MAP-200 8-Slot Mainframe, 1 each MOPM-B1PMH; MAP-200 OPM Panel Mount Head Cassette, 2 each MPMHP; MAP-200 OPM High Power Panel Mount Head, 1 each MUTL-A1000; MAP Utility Cassette Blank, 1 each MUTL-A110SB; MAP Utility Cassette 10 Percent Splitter Bulkheads, 1 each MOSW-C111C002BS; Single 1X2SM Switch with Bulkhead connectors, 1 each MOSW-C121C008PS; Dual 1X8 SM Switch with 1M Pigtail Connectors,1 each AC102; Detector Adapter ST, 1 each MAP-200A03; MAP-280 8- Slot Mainframe 19Inches Rackmount Ears, 1 each MSRC-C13000SL; 1310NM SMF Sled. (Microsoft IE required). Sole source based on requirements being unique to JDS Uniphase Corp. Vendors who feel that they can provide the above requirement shall fully identify their interest and submit their capabilities to meet the above requirements within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. Responses received after 15 days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis and not be considered. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
