The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD), has a requirement for a Magpix diagnostic analyzer manufactured by Luminex Corporation to support program training. ACC-APG NCD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, on behalf of the Army Medical Department (AMEDD), with Luminex Corporation, an Other Than Small Business located in Austin TX, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a single source, only one source reasonable available. Since AMEDD is designing training for the Magpix system, no other source besides Luminex Corporation can meet the Government's requirement. This has been confirmed by market research conducted by the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3826 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside.
